The Lafayette Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of the largest of its kind in the state of Indiana. The project included a complete renovation of Lafayette's 22 MGD plant . The project upgraded the facility to a capacity of 52 MGD. In addition to the treatment facility renovations, Bowen constructed a modern three-story operations and administration building over and around the exisitng building. Bowen completed all phases of the project without once shutting down the plant's existing operation.
The project was the recipient of a prestigious Aon Build America Award.
